Better Buildings (BBC) Multifamily Sector Steering Committee

Better Buildings is an initiative of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) designed to improve the lives of the American people by driving leadership in energy innovation. Through Better Buildings, DOE partners with leaders in the public and private sectors to make the nation’s homes, commercial buildings and industrial plants more energy efficient by accelerating investment and sharing of successful best practices. Environmental Business Council, Energy Resources Committee

The mission of the EBC Energy Resources Committee is to identify and address energy and renewable energy issues that are of concern and of interest to EBC members and their clients. Issues include but are not limited to legislative, regulatory and policy developments in the New England states, innovative technologies, recent project successes, and business development opportunities at the federal, state, regional, and local level. New England Affordable Housing Management Association Energy and Sustainability (Green) Committee

This committee shall be the catalyst for working with NEAHMA member firms on the myriad of energy, sustainability and “green” initiatives.  These include but are not limited to providing guidance on how to apply for energy upgrade grants, rebate or other incentive programs; develop and recommend to the board, programs to support this mission and to craft the organizations energy reduction position statement.   The committee will also establish best practices guidelines with an emphasis on sustainability principles and energy conservation that can be shared with all NEAHMA member firms. Learn more about these efforts.

Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) Boston Energy Cohort

The Energy Cohort is a peer learning group or “community of practice” for affordable housing professionals interested in energy efficiency, renewable energy, resiliency, and resident health to network, learn, and share information. Participants are encouraged to share promising practices as well as challenges/barriers to adoption and advancement. Our goal is to support the affordable housing community in gaining expertise and successfully developing and preserving high-performance, resilient, and healthy buildings at scale.
